Steps to Building Your Perfect Home

Determine your budget and find a lender that offers new construction loans. The most common loan that is used is a construction to perm loan. The Dawn Pugh Team works with several lenders that offer new construction products and they are happy to help you find the lender that would be the perfect fit!
Work with The Dawn Pugh Team to find the property or lot that you want to build your custom home on. Things to consider are setbacks, taps for city sewer and water and public/private maintained roads.
Hire a General Contractor (Builder) and Architect to help you determine the size and style of your home. They can also give you guidance on layout and special features based on your lifestyle.
Hire additional team members for your custom home project. Do you need an interior designer, pool and spa company or landscape architect?
The Dawn Pugh Team will communicate with all of your custom home team members to keep a record of progress, expectations and timelines.
Once your custom home is complete, you will have a walk through with your builder. The builder will go over any information that you need to properly operate your appliances and major systems. At this time, you will also blue tape nicks, dings and touch ups that need to be addressed before closing on your custom home.
The morning before you close you will walk the property with your Realtor® one last time to make sure all blue tape items have been addressed.
Meet with the attorney or title company to sign all documents required to close on your new home!
